The Gospel of Mark is the shortest of the four Gospels, but also the most action-packed.
Written to a Roman audience, it presents Jesus as the Servant King a Savior who came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45).
Mark emphasizes Jesus’ works more than His words, showing us that true faith is active, sacrificial, and centered on Christ.
The Beginning of the Gospel (Mark 1–3)
Mark opens with John the Baptist preparing the way for Jesus.
Jesus begins His ministry with authority calling disciples, healing the sick, and casting out demons.
Key Lesson: Jesus has authority over sickness, sin, and Satan. When He calls, we must follow immediately.
