This community was created to be a safe, supportive, and encouraging space for mothers raising children with special needs. Before participating, please take a moment to review our guidelines.
🌸 Lead with Kindness
Every mother's journey is different. We ask that all members communicate with compassion, respect, and understanding. Disagreements are okay. Disrespect is not.
🌸 No Judgment Zone
There is no "perfect" way to raise a child with special needs. Whether you're homeschooling, using public school services, pursuing therapies, taking a break, or simply surviving the day, this is a place free from shame and criticism.
🌸 Respect Privacy
What's shared in this community stays in this community. Please do not share another member's story, photos, screenshots, or personal information without their permission.
🌸 Encourage, Don't Diagnose
Many of us have valuable experiences to share, but this community is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, or mental health advice. Share your experiences, not diagnoses.
🌸 Keep It Supportive
This is a space for encouragement, resources, wellness, faith, and connection. Content that is intentionally divisive, hostile, or harmful may be removed.
🌸 No Spam or Self-Promotion
Please do not use this community primarily to sell products, recruit members, or promote services without permission from the community administrator.
🌸 Give Grace
Many moms here are carrying invisible burdens. If someone is having a difficult day, choose grace over judgment. We never know what another mother is facing behind the screen.
🌸 Faith-Centered, Everyone Welcome
Mothering Differently is built on a foundation of faith in God. While faith-based discussions, prayers, and encouragement are welcome, we ask everyone to treat one another with respect, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.
🌸 Ask for Help
You do not have to do this alone. If you need support, resources, prayer, encouragement, or simply someone who understands, please reach out and let the community support you.
