How should I measure FTP?
I have Magene PES515, which is one of the cheapest power meter.
Today I rode over 38km in strong tailwind. That was so much fun! I averaged 37.6km/h and 213w. I had never recorded such a number. 213w is high for me.
However, on my way back home, I had to run against the wind. I couldn't push hard as in tailwind. The power dropped so much.
I realized FTP is environment-dependent.
Then. How or where should I measure FTP? Do I need a smart trainer? And use it inside?
I live in Tokyo, Japan. There isn't enough place I can run at high speed without traffic.
