Interpreting the Chart
Hi ! Finished the modules. They were great. It left me wanting more so here I am 😁. The following is my chart configuration. I use Placidus house system:
Background about me: ♒♊♒ I am polymath with 20 years experience as software engineering. The first fifteen years was working for other companies and the last 5 years was working for myself. Now I closed down my business in March 2025 and working for a DOE vendor where I teach about ecology and nutrition and supporting other educators who do the same work. I was long time coming after feeling deeply unhappy for 8--10 years. Creating my own consulting business helped me realize that it was doing software engineering for others wasn't fulfilling for me and doing side programming project had more fulfillment because it was play. However, going through a lifelong health journey and learning and talking about ecology and nutrition enliven my cells. Financially now, since the career change, a lot of established savings had, has been depleted and liquidated to support basic needs over the past year and a half. So very shoe strapped now. However, I am currently getting a certification for nutrition consulting, a debt I am happy to take and know I can pay off because I did it before, and build up knowledge around herbalism, medical astrology, and horticultural studies to build a wellness business for my community and brewing makerspace business where i can possibly apply my multitude of interests. I am currently employing my Reiki skills as the gateway to the larger vision of my wellness practice.
One of my core uses for money as always been for traveling, learning, playing and experimenting.
My chart Interpretation:
2nd House:
  • Signs: Pisces and Aries
  • Planets: No planets in 2nd house. Pisces' ruling planet is placed under the 11th house and Aries's ruling planet is placed under Sagittarius 10th house.
So the interpretations I have is that the nature of my income is through purposeful and meaningful work. How this shows ups for me entrepreneurship, which I think my 10th house supports. In terms of my sixth house, it speaks more to the environment so far in my life and only now relates to the than the specific job. I am doing a career switch in to the green industry and wellness.
6th House:
  • Signs: Cancer
  • Planets: No planets in 6th house. Cancer's ruling planet is in the 5th house under Gemini.
From the 6th house from an environment POV, illustrates that community is an important aspect in a work setting, which I find very true. Even though I wasn't particularly motivated by the companies mission and business model, I stayed on because of the team I was in. Now from a job point of view, it Cancerian nature suggests I look into jobs were am caring, organizing, or supporting others. This I can verify that I am in such a job. This DOE 2025-2026 season, I decided not to teach and took a role with the same vendor i have been working with to support her and the educators that will be teaching at the various school sites. But this only a 10-hour/wk role and trying to find other less brain intensive work so I can work on my business. So i have been applying to hotel housekeeping work, farmhand, landscaping jobs, which hasn't resulted in anything despite minimizing any mention of my engineering background in my resume and peer-review of my resume. (Need the Jupiter transit to work a little better here 😅) I am also trying to fight this home body nature of this sign because which is why i am going for the aforementioned jobs for health improvements.
8th House:
  • Signs: Libra and Virgo
  • Planets: No planets in 8th house. Lot of Fortune
With Libra and Virgo in energies in Scorpio's native house, I interpret this having diversified investments is important to financial stability and keeping track of how money moves is very important for the success and health of foundational wealth. So I know the astral points and asteroids weren't covered in the module, but in my astrological studies I like learning about them. Lot of fortune indicates the level of sensitivity of the success or talents of the house it is within and its planetary occupants. With Lot of Fortune in the 8th house of wealth, I say the ability to achieve foundational wealth is very likely.
Before, having to liquidate my investments, I did diversify in IRA, CDs, art (Masterworks), real estate(Fundrise), and played around with stocks and investments in projects. As for budgeting, I actually enjoy seeing everything even during this painful financial times because I can know what-is-what and make adjustments and *try* to plan. I tend to plan the first of the month and update expenses once a week. Preferred medium actually is pen and paper (Legend Planner Budget), with some spreadsheet sorcery for figuring out options for paying things off. Some improvements when I am in the position to do so, is to invest in more energetically earth investments like the IRA for more stability to balance the more airy style of investments like stocks, projects, and real-estate.
10th House:
  • Signs: Sagittarius and Scorpio
  • Planets: Mars and Saturn. Pluto is domicile with Scorpio in the 9th and Jupiter is in the 1st house under Aquarius, which both my Sun and Rising.
The exploratory nature Sagittarius with the fluidity and depth of Scorpio is anchored by Saturn creating stability (along with Juno, asteroid of commitment). The shared fire element of both Sagittarius and Mars allows Sagittarius exploratory nature to be expressed a little more, which aligns with stay with my first career for so long and my completely 180 career change. Both Mars and Saturn are tightly conjunct with zero degree of separation which encourages some sort of entrepreneurial, leading, or teaching of something career paths that offers depth and discovery for clients.
I know the modules didn't touch transits or aspects but I am interested to other people's insights.
