What I've Been Missing Is Jesus
Day by day, it’s all the same
Chasing dreams I long to claim
Sometimes I sit and wonder why
Asking, “When will it come by?”
Night by night, I start to think
Worried 'bout what tomorrow brings
Eyes closed tight, I say a prayer
Facing life’s trials everywhere
What I’ve been missing is Jesus
He’s enough for all I’ve ever sought
Though the world may end, and time may stop
His love for me will never be lost
Left and right, front and behind
Everything I see won’t last in time
Riches, fame—they fade away
They’re not forever, they won’t stay
Look up to the skies sometimes
Too busy chasing worldly signs
Don’t forget the God above
The One you’ve missed, the One who loves
What I’ve been missing is Jesus
He’s enough for all I’ve ever sought
Though the world may end, and time may stop
His love for me will never be lost
