šŸ”„ The War on Masculinity Didn’t Start on Instagram
It started the moment they pulled our great-grandfathers off the land and into the factories.
Before that, men lived and worked close to their families. Sons learned directly from their fathers. Masculinity was passed down through presence, through watching, doing, being.
Then came the Industrial Revolution. And with it, men were pulled away from the home. They became providers, not protectors. Distant figures, not leaders. Disconnected from the family unit and from themselves.
Then came the wars.
Men were taught how to fight, how to kill, how to shut off emotion in the name of duty.
But when they returned?
There was no integration. No healing. No emotional initiation. Just "harden the fuck up and get on with it."
So that’s what our grandfathers did.
And our fathers were raised by men who had been emotionally exiled, trained to perform, not to feel.
And now… we are the sons of that lineage.
We’re told masculinity is toxic.
That strength is dangerous.
That being decisive is controlling.
That wanting to lead, protect, or provide makes you oppressive.
Meanwhile, families are collapsing.
Kids are growing up without grounded masculine presence.
Women are burnt out from carrying both roles.
And men?
Most don’t even realise they’ve been at war. Not with bullets, but with distraction, sedation, and shame.
The system didn’t destroy masculinity by attacking it head on.
It did it by making us forget it.
Forget our fire.
Forget our role.
Forget what it feels like to be in our bodies, clear in our mission, and present with our families.
But here’s what I believe, and what this whole movement is about:
Masculinity isn’t the problem.
It’s the missing piece.
And when men reclaim it, in its grounded, sacred, powerful form, everything starts to heal.
The man heals.
The family heals.
The culture heals.
But it starts with us remembering what was lost.
šŸ‘‡ Let me know below, when did you first realise there was something off about the story we were sold about being a man? What moment cracked it open for you?
Let’s bring this into the light, and lead from there.
