My Thoughts - Beyond the Gift
Are you still sitting with God regarding your character? I pray so.
This isn't a "do it once and you're done" assignment.
What I'm asking you to sit with —who you are when you're not prophesying, where you've tied your worth to your gift, what your character looks like when no one's watching—these aren't light questions.
They're meant to unsettle you.
Because the truth is, some of you have been building on a cracked foundation for years. And now that we're asking you to examine it, you're realizing just how shaky it's been.
That's uncomfortable. I know.
But here's what I need you to understand:
God is more interested in exposing the cracks now than letting them destroy you later.
So if this week has felt heavy, if sitting in silence has been harder than you expected, if the journal questions are bringing up things you didn't want to face - good.
That means you're doing the work.
Don't rush past this. Don't skim over it because it's uncomfortable. Don't convince yourself you've "got it" when you haven't even started peeling back the layers.
This is the foundation. And foundations take time.
You can't build a skyscraper on sand and expect it to stand when the wind comes. And trust me, the wind is coming, but I believe this is why God allowed this community. It's a place of growth, stewardship, building and birthing.
So keep pressing.
Keep sitting with God even when it feels like nothing is happening.
Keep asking Him to show you where performance has replaced intimacy.
Keep wrestling with the questions that don't have easy answers.
This is the deep work. This is where maturity is built. This is where your prophetic voice gets anchored in something that can't be shaken.
Don't stop now.
The discomfort you're feeling? That's growth. That's the old identity being peeled away so the real you: the beloved, secure, grounded you—can emerge.
I'm not asking you to have it all figured out, I'm asking you to stay in the process.
Keep seeking. Keep pressing. Keep digging.
God is doing something in you that's going to carry you for decades.
Don't shortcut it.
