Start Here: Introduce Yourself
Welcome to our Husband's Learning Community.
Before you dive into the lessons — I want you to do one thing first.
Introduce yourself right here in the comments. Not because it's a formality. But because the men in this community are the most valuable resources you have access to. And the ones who get the most out of this place are the ones who show up — not just in the lessons, but in here talking to each other. Everyone has a version of the same struggles were all learning from.
So drop a comment and tell us three things:
1. Your name and where you're from.
2. How long your wife has been going through this — and how long you've been trying to figure it out.
3. The one thing that brought you here. The moment, the conversation, the breaking point, or just the quiet realization that you needed more than you had.
That's it.
QNo right answer. No judgment. Just men at different points in the same journey being honest with each other.
I'll go first.
My name is Carlos. I'm from Texas. Luz — my wife — started going through perimenopause one day to the next about 4 years ago after emergency medical intervention. We had absolutely no idea what we were getting into. I thought our marriage was falling apart. I thought she had changed into someone I didn't recognize. It took me longer than I'm proud of to figure out that the problem wasn't us — it was that I didn't understand what she was going through. She didn't understand either because like many other women their doctors are not trained in the post reproduction years of a woman much less trained in hormone specialty.
This community exists because during the time that we were struggling in our marriage we happen to join a couple's prayer group through our local church. We quickly realized that Husbands especially were so undereducated in Menopause that it was resulting in a 60-70 percent divorce rate. After strengthening our marriage, I have made it a humble mission to teach other husbands.
Now it's your turn. Drop it below.
