Did you know that pre-historic and medieval peoples actually wore Stinging Nettle?
OUCH!!!
Stinging Nettle is a BAST FIBER, much like LINEN from FLAX.
Once you get past the stingers, the final product is much the same.
The processing method is also similar to linen. The only difference being linen fibers come from inside the flax stalk, while nettle fibers are in the grasslike skin on the outside of the stalk.
There is still more to add to this course, but it's started.
I'll also be adding some videos so you can see the process better.
