Bluehosting Price Query

Greetings all, going through the course along with the rest of you all. However, if anyone can have a little input regarding the hosting, that would be great. When I get to the checkout, the domain privacy protection has a fee now(I looked at it over the weekend and the total cost was $23.88), which now brings it up to $35.76. That's not a lot you might say, but in South African Rands it's quite a jump. Does anyone have any ideas about this?

Kinda annoying because I wanted to start building my website today.
