Yesterday was my day off, and I made it a day of intentional rest.
With my work schedule being so unpredictable, Iโve learned to embrace the slower days instead of feeling guilty about them.
Rest isnโt wasted time, itโs preparation. It also helps me reset mentally, physically, and even financially. ๐คฃ๐คญ๐๐พ
I have a vacation coming up, so yesterday wasnโt about trying to do everything. It was about doing the right things. I meal prepped, got in a 20-minute walk on my walking pad, read, painted, listened to music, worked on puzzles, and organized my life.
Every goal I set for the day got done.
Hereโs what I want you to remember:
Preparation beats perfection.
Most of us already know what our week looks like.
Some days, you have time for a full workout.
Other days, all you can manage is 20 minutes on the treadmill with an incline, and thatโs okay.
The goal isnโt to have the perfect day. The goal is to stay consistent with the day thatโs in front of you.
As Iโm getting ready for Hawaii, weโre being intentional now so we can fully enjoy ourselves later.
Weโre still going to stay active on vacation, but weโre also going to enjoy the food and the experience without guilt because weโve prepared for it.
Donโt let yesterdayโs mistakes or last monthโs setbacks determine what you do today. The only thing you truly have control over is this moment.
So letโs tighten up. Make a plan. Get organized. Do what you can with the time, energy, and resources you have today.
Small, consistent actions add up to big results.
Now tell meโฆwhat did you do on your day off to move yourself one step closer to your goals?
