Lighting: the Bane of my existence
I have a mid-size space that doesn’t get a lot of natural light and has light fixtures with different temp. lights in all of them. Giving my space both an unpleasant & inconsistent tone. The lack of light also gives my space a terrible “muddy” look in post. Sean gave me the idea to blast a ton of light into my studio to help mitigate the muddiness. It’s also helped me reduce the contrasting orange & teal colors in my studio.
I’ve also found that using auto white balance and making sure that I always lock the white balance has also been a game changer for me on my ZV-E1 (which also thank you Sean for that tip on locking white balance)
But here are the before and afters of the look of the space on camera & and my set up for when I film and blast light into the space. Not perfect what so ever but has definitely given me a look that doesn’t make me want to trash my whole video anymore lol
