βI do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slaveβ¦β β 1 Corinthians 9:26-27
We all have that one thing we hate doing. One thing for me, is pushing myself to the limit on the Airdyne bike. π΄ββοΈ I absolutely dread those intense sprintsβevery second feels like an eternity, and my mind keeps begging me to stop. But thatβs exactly why I need to do it.
π‘οΈ A Powerful Mindset:
- Face the Pain: C.S. Lewis said, βHardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.β Itβs not about avoiding pain but embracing it, knowing that growth lives on the other side.
- Train with Purpose: Donβt run aimlessly. Push yourself with intention. Every drop of sweat, every moment of discomfort, is a step closer to mastering yourself.
- Make Your Body Your Servant: Train your body and mind to obey your will, not your fears. Itβs about creating a discipline that extends beyond the gym into every area of life.
π€ So, what about you? Whatβs the one thing you hate doing but know you need to face head-on? How do you push yourself past that mental resistance to become the person youβre meant to be?
