Yall - hubby apologized for fussing at the kid and me for leaving the front door open.
Note: I didn’t even take offense this time- which shows major growth on my part.
I prayed that God would kill that flesh that would take offense to that particular instruction. I knew in my logical mind that my husband was right to voice his concerns- leaving the door open/unlocked can let bugs in (which I’m afraid of) or even expose us to an intruder. I should not have been so bothered by the truth, but for some reason I would become super defensive.
I never expected hubby to catch himself, but he did. He really cares and all I have to do is be reasonable internally and give him the space to self correct. I am happy to say that didn’t even have to think about killing the flesh in that moment. Flesh did not show up, and hubby really surprised me 🥰
