DIY:
✅ Cheap upfront
❌ Learning curve on every platform — no exceptions
❌ Months of your time
❌ And if the strategy and client flow aren't there? All that effort for a site that still doesn't do its job.
Hiring a pro:
✅ Done properly, done faster
✅ Works for you while you sleep
✅ No 2am YouTube rabbit holes about why your mobile menu is broken
❌ Costs more upfront — yes
But here's the thing nobody talks about.
DIY isn't actually free. You're paying with your time (and your sanity). And if the end result still doesn't convert? You've paid twice — once in hours, once when you eventually hire someone to fix it anyway.
So the real question isn't "can I afford a professional?"
It's "can I afford for my website to not work?" 😄
Have you DIYed your website or gone pro — and what was your experience?
