I’m new to this space and feel deeply called to share a very special part of my life — a journey of weaving, wairua, and whakapapa that was passed down to me by my beautiful Nan.
🌿 I’ve recently started weaving my very first korowai, guided by the teachings, stories, and spirit of my Nan, who was also a weaver. Her wisdom is my foundation, and I carry her legacy with every aho (thread) I weave.
I’m honoured to hold a sacred korowai that’s been passed down through generations — one that is only used for tangihanga (funerals). It holds deep spiritual meaning and reminds me of the importance of preserving and respecting these taonga.
🧶 As I learn and grow, I’ll be sharing parts of my Nan’s korero, her teachings, and the spiritual side of creating and gifting korowai.
✨ If you’re also on this path or feel drawn to learn, I’m here — willing to walk alongside anyone who wants to explore this beautiful mahi and its deeper meaning.
This space is a positive, respectful platform where I’ll share the knowledge passed down to me — with love, gratitude, and aroha.
