Starting Out: What Should I Know?

I’m just starting to figure out how to properly register a small business and make sure everything is set up right. There’s so much info out there, I’m a bit overwhelmed 😅
I’d love to know from anyone who’s done this before:
What’s the most important step you wish you knew earlier?
Any tips on avoiding common mistakes?
