Let's talk about matriarchy.
Have you been noticing a shift in the way people are thinking about what they want to see in society?
A lot of people assume that matriarchy is just patriarchy but with women in charge - couldn't be further from the truth!
A rundown:
Patriarchy is like a Pyramid, where the successful few are benefitting from the work of the rest. It's competitive and crumbling around us because it doesn't benefit the underlings yet relies on them for structural integrity. It zaps everyone's energy without replenishing because the value is only hierarchical.
Matriarchy is like a sphere, where the strength of the exterior nurture the weak on the inside. It nurtures all, sharing resources so that everyone benefits because we all rise together in solidarity. We give any extra to each other so that all are cared for. You've seen fast fashion, full landfills, and careless corporate practices - that disappears with matriarchy because we value people not just what they can do for us.
