Happy Wednesday all. Warning - I am on a rant LOL. This has nothing to do with cannabis, other then I passionately reacted to when the light bulb went off. What the hell, products like Oreo's OMG have you seen an original it's like an Oreo Thin now and double stuff equals an original. I'm not singling Oreo's out at all LOL it's just the one I am most familiar with, so so many corporate brands are doing the same thing. Thank goodness in our industry we go by weight. I am more so talking about everyday items, bags of sugar and flour that used to weigh 5 lbs, now weighs 4lbs and the price is higher.
Remember back in the day when marketing was actually good, where a box of laundry detergent powder had a free kitchen towel in the box, there were others, and gas stations always had giveaways, like spices, and I can't remember what else, but they usually had something going. I think we need to go back to that. These companies need to stop looking at how to make the numbers higher by cutting corners, they need to start looking and listening to people, look at the company's marketing history.
Let's face it they already know everything about us from our loyalty cards, our phones, me, I'm an open book, I got nothin to hide. But they aren't focusing on the right info.
I know the cannabis industry is not an easy one and for those of you who are connected with a dispensary, know it's a very serious and very well monitored system. I actually got the opportunity to visit High Grass Farms back in December and saw everything from seed / clone to packaging, every single step and there are quite a few steps in the process. I am not sure if this is still going on, but High Grass Farms was doing a monthly raffle I believe for a tour of the farm, if you visit their site hgfarmsnj.com you should be able to see what is happening and if it is still going on. After all this ranting, my point is this, we can feel confident that in the cannabis, marijuana, weed, whatever you call it, everything is above board and will only get better.
Please, let me know your thoughts, I can't be the only one who has noticed this trend over the past few years. 🤔🤔🦩🦩🦩
