High School Spanish Missed This: The Power of Twin Words
When I first lived in Costa Rica, I stumbled onto something that high school and university Spanish classes somehow skipped over completely: Cognates—or what we like to call Twin Words here at LIOTA.
Discovering that thousands of English words share identical or near-identical roots in Spanish was a total lightbulb moment. It instantly unlocked vocabulary without the boring rote memorization.
