Moms, if you feel stretched thin, overwhelmed, and like you have no time to enjoy the signs of spring, please stop and listen.
There is an urgent need for you to realize that, to a large extent, you are in control of what you do and what you say "yes" to.
No one else is going to step in and figure out your boundaries for you; you have to be the one to make those decisions.
Be honest with yourself and stop. Stop racing to put out every fire and stop falling for the lie that you can do it all and still be happy. You cannot carry everything and remain whole.
We have a Wise Counsel available to us—turn away from the chaos and ask Him for guidance. Reclaim your peace before the season passes you by.
Pause for a moment: The birds are singing and the air is changing. Don't let another season pass you by from behind a screen of stress. You have the power to change the pace. Ask for help, say no to the noise, and breathe.
Over the years, I’ve made it a point to take one of the boys on morning walks through the Arboretum. It’s become something deeply special to me—a quiet sanctuary in the middle of the noise. When I look back on those mornings, I honestly don’t remember how messy the house was before we left, if we checked off every box in our schoolwork that day, or what we scrambled to throw together for lunch.
What I do remember is that we lived. We shared life, we connected, and we breathed together. In the moment, it might have felt like I was "falling behind," but I know now those walks brought life to both of us.
