Fearsome fire with the fastest of feet.
Destruction has decided not to be discreet.
Buildings being burned beyond repairs.
This fierce fire has refused to be fair.
It’s death with a deceitful disclaimer.
She keeps referring to us as mere wailers.
No matter how we avoid the blame games,
the failing weather keeps fanning the flame.
Residents running for the safest of routes.
An end to these evacuations is still a doubt.
The enormous efforts expressed by firefighters.
Let the climate put off her smoking lighters.
Hope is a sacrifice succumbing to heavy smoke.
A suffocating situation sending back a choke.
