Giving up is Easy....
Thinking about all of us this morning and I have to admit, it's easy to get overwhelmed. For me anyways. There's so much to accomplish every day and these things we are all working on are a goal, but the day to day has to happen in the meantime, right? Please don't misunderstand, I know there are bills to be paid and things to get done, but every thing? What am I doing in the day to day that I could skip because it is causing an unnecessary distraction? I haven't met a person on here that isn't moving in what they have been called to. That said, the enemy will distract with the day to day until we are so busy that we can't get to the heart thing. Jesus said that HIS yoke is easy and HIS burden is light--so why are we carrying so many heavy things that slow the process down? I have to say that it sometimes feels like a thing that I can do when I get to it--and I'll figure it out (with HIS input, of course). But what if I slowed down, focused on listening to what HE has to say first and let it be HIM flowing through me, not just HIS input? But slowing down means laziness in my world, so that's not easy---and I don't have near the amount of stuff going on in my life that you all do!!! So, today, can I (we) put aside ONE thing and sit down to just listen? We are living in such a volatile, urgent time. People need God and not in the way they've heard about or learned up until now that has turned them away to begin with!! Can I (we) be the catalyst of change? Or will I (we) continue to bear a burden that was never meant to be ours? I'm starting new today. Can't wait to share what comes of all this and moving more forward again.
