Epoxy training ( thinking out loud ...🧐 )
Just seen recently on Facebook, Leggari ( not an advertisement 😁 ) were talking about how much rip offs they see in taking epoxy training classes. Hands on training they call it. ( I know they are trying to sell their online Academy , but that's not what this post is about ).
For whatever reason some people think they "need" to take the course and that after that they are gonna start their business and the ball will get rolling. Let's use correct terminology here.
Those trainings are mostly a course to become familiar with what the product is all about and get a general idea.
Starting a business after one of these courses is the same as starting a mudding and taping business after someone will show you how to put mud on the wall. After seeing how it was done or even doing it once yourself doesn't mean the final product is worth it. That being said we all gotta start somewhere.
Just curious if instead of going for a hands on training in AC cooled environment and not really sweating your ass off and breathing the dust and getting dirty, would you rather go and work for couple days doing a real project ( garage or any other ) from start to finish under supervision of a skilled installer ? Courses are good and all, but real life brings a lot more challenge , heat and humidity and other stuff, it all effects installation.
Or what if instead of one project you could work let's say for a week or so, almost like getting hired by a crew, except you pay for your work 😁( it could be free I guess , since the crew is basically getting a free laborer, but usually it only slows down overall process and to make it equally beneficial, a person who comes in should contribute proportionally to the value he is getting back in return ).
What do you think?
Real life epoxy school, not just a 2 day showcase training, would you sign up for something like that?
It's not a pitch or an offer, just want to see what you guys think, let's brainstorm all together !
