How did you find your first welding job?
Right out of high school I had a dream and no experience. After getting denied my 100th time or so I gave in and went to the local hiring agency. I didn’t want to do that at first because I didnt want the hiring agency taking a percent of my pay. But that’s not what was important at the time, getting my foot in the door ment more. MIG welding wasn't/isn't my favorite process to weld but after a month and that job foreman see my work ethic along with other welders and I started networking and after three months I landed my first $25 an hour Welding job as a combination Welder.
Besides the 12 honorable years I served in the Marines, this has been the best job I’ve ever had.
