Modern culture encourages an approach of figuring things out, finding ways to "be of service."
This can be an effective way to get things done in the world. This approach misses the mark in some other aspects.
If you become very still and clear, an impulse will arise within you. You may be able to observe your thoughts, your emotions, your impulses to take action(will impulse). These impulses have a quality to them.
You are inherently love and wholeness, therefore whatever exist within the contents of your ego is subject for review. Let me define ego in this instance as the collection of information/story of who am I? This can arise from culture, parents, religion etc.
So underneath what is morally "right and just" is a deeper aspect of self, a more truth aspect. As we attune our personality more to our inner essence we begin to navigate life with greater integrity.
So when in doubt become still, listen very deep, do not just jump at the first impulse that arises. Wait to perceive what is most clear, discern the quality of this impulse. The impulse that is fueled by love will guide your way most clearly.
The paradox of all this figuring out, is that if we move from this place of wholeness and love, everything else is already sorted out. All is provided, this is what It means to move from a place of faith, not in a religious context. In the way of trusting in something bigger than yourself, beyond dogma or ideas about GOD or the universe.
