🏡 Why demand is rising
- In the U.S., the number of people aged 65 and over is projected to double by 2060, reaching nearly 98 million. More seniors mean more demand for care that allows people to stay in their own homes. Care 365+1
- Between 2013 and 2020, revenue in the home health care services industry grew by around 50.5%, compared to a ~34% increase in assisted living facilities. That reflects both growing demand and possibly a preference for home-based services. Census.gov
- Many older Americans prefer “aging in place”—89% of seniors report wanting to receive care at home rather than having to move to a hospital or institutional facility.
