Be Not Afraid
As a child this passage, Mark 16:5-6, always confused me. Why would there be a young chap in the tomb acting in such a nonchalant fashion. And his words, "he is not here, behold the place where they laid him," were also confusing.
As I grew and had the epiphany of The First Principle, it became clear.
That young man is Jesus. The place he motions for them to behold, is not the tomb, but his own body.
Neville, fascinatingly, confirmed this to me in his lecture, The Divine Body, "So, I meet them time and time again, and they are totally unaware. You know why? Because the world is just like this; you depart this world, and you are instantly restored in a body that is new – unaccountably new – in a world that is terrestrial just like this, in an environment best suited for the work yet to be done in you by He who started it."
This is why I say, from experience, that THERE IS NO DEATH for the individual, but only for the observer.
When you die, you are alive again, in an instant, and you do not know that you have died. You might look a lot like you and have similar opinions, and by the grace of your Imagination, you may be rich or poor or filled with the Spirit.
