🗣️ Practical English: Polite Ways to Ask Someone to Repeat
Sometimes you don’t understand what someone says—and that’s okay! Instead of just saying “What?”, try these more natural and polite expressions:
✅ Sorry, could you say that again?
✅ I didn’t quite catch that.
✅ Could you repeat that, please?
✅ Sorry, can you speak a little more slowly?
✅ What do you mean by that?
💬 Practice Challenge:
Imagine you’re talking to a colleague, teacher, or cashier, and you don’t hear what they said.
Write one polite response you would use in the comments. I’ll reply with feedback and help you sound even more natural!
🌍 Small changes in your English can make a big difference in your confidence. Keep practicing every day!
