# 2.2 What Is Enough?
What does it mean to have enough?
That's not always an easy question.
Sometimes people don't have enough of the things they need — enough food, warmth, space, money, time or opportunities. Having enough to live well and feel secure is important.
But sometimes we can have much more of something than we need or can use. We might have toys we never play with, clothes we never wear, food that gets forgotten, or belongings that take up space without adding much to our lives.
And enough won't look the same for everybody. It depends on who we are, where we live, what we need and what is happening in our lives.
Living lightly isn't about trying to have as little as possible.
It's about learning to notice what we need, what we value and when we already have enough.
There isn't one right answer.
