For the new members looking to pass compliance. It is Very simple if you follow the steps that Charles lay out for you guys. Reach out to me for assistance
Phase 1 of compliance consists of:
  1. Blight Removal & Board up the property
  2. Proof of active water ( show a picture of running water from the bathroom and kitchen sinks or show your water bill)
  3. Photos of installed furnace( talk to your compliance officer on day 1 and let them know that you will be doing an all electric property so now you can just install three baseboard heaters instead of a furnace)
  4. Photos of working bathroom ( pictures of installed sink and toilet)
  5. Photos of working kitchen( sink, preparation surface & cooking element, microwave must show that it’s plugged in
  6. Installation of electrical breaker panel & meter can
  7. Water meter setup and installation
**** don’t forget to set up BSEED inspections as soon as possible *****
As soon as you figure out your closing date, schedule with me or your contractor of choice, and have them come out the day of or the day after closing to set up your water meter and electric meters, then call the electric company and water company( should have signed affidavit) have them come out to connect services for your water meter and electric meter.
Example:
Today is October 5th, Closing date October 21st.. call contractor have them set up water meter and electric meter on October 22nd, (work on getting affidavit signed ASAP) Call water department and Electrical and have them scheduled for October 23rd to connect the service…..Then focus on the rest of compliance
