Claude Opus 4.1 in Windsurf - Vibe Code Example

Today (Aug 5th, 2025) Windsurf added Claude Opus 4.1, I did a quick video to try it out with 2 seperate projects. First project was a super basic landing page with HTML and CSS. The other was much more complex but pretty cool with the short amount of time I messed with it.

There is time stamps in the video description that will jump right to the ends with the projects come alive.

Opus 4.1 is costly but keep in mind that as we progress with AI technology the more power (not only electricity but actual hardware) is required to make these massive models run. In Windsurf it's 20 credits per prompt BUT if you watch what Opus 4.1 can do in one prompt then you'll see the potential it has. Also the main thing to remember when prompting AI (image models, video models and LLM's) the saying "garbage in, garbage out" comes into play. The more detailed and descriptive you can be when prompting, the better the results will be.

This is pretty much zero edits, just a paused the video recording a few times while it was generating. Total time for both projects was less than an hour.
