Yesterday, as we celebrated
the Fourth of July,
the fireworks in my neighborhood
were astounding. 🎆
I live just outside Kansas City, 🌆
on the edge of the country.
One of my favorite parts
wasn’t just what happened in the 🌌 Sky
It was what happened
on the ground.
The entire neighborhood
came together.
Families gathered in their driveways.
Kids laughed. 🤣
Neighbors waved.
Strangers became friends.
For a little while, we all rose a little higher.
It reminded me that every firework 🧨
begins with a single spark.
In the same way,
our community grows every time
we reach out,
encourage one another,
and help
each other rise.
Maybe that’s part
of what Independence Day celebrates…
It's Not just the fireworks 🎆
above us…
But the people beside us who
make a neighborhood,
and a community,
feel like
