Which Dao?
We are starting a new series exploring the Daodejing (Tao Te Ching) verse by verse.
The Daodejing opens with a verse that contrasts two different ways of understanding the Dao. Translators are sharply divided on how it should be translated. How we understand the opening line of the Daodejing is significant because it sets the context for the rest of the book.
Join us this week at Kinship Cafe as we explore the different options for translating this opening line and what each option leads to.
You do not need any prior knowledge of the Daodejing (Tao Te Ching) to participate in our meetings. All are welcome and encouraged. We have an online course called Foundations for Understanding the Daodejing, and each week's meeting is recorded for you to review past sessions.
Links for our meetings are in the community Calendar.
