Great children’s books start with a character kids recognize themselves in.
Today you will create one.
Five minute exercise
In the comments, describe a child character using short, simple answers.
1️⃣ Name and age
2️⃣ One thing they love
3️⃣ One thing that frustrates them
4️⃣ One small problem they face often
5️⃣ One big feeling they experience because of it
Do not worry about plot or lessons yet.
Just focus on making the child feel real.
If a child can see themselves in your character, the story will already be working before page one. 📖✨
