Day 5 hit different.
The song was “The Way You Move” by J.Don, and it threw me completely out of my usual groove. My freestyle style leans lyrical and contemporary, so this hip-hop track pushed me into new territory. I felt awkward, exposed, even frustrated at moments.
Halfway through, I realized how visible I was — how seen I felt — and it got in my head. But that’s when the real work started. I didn’t stop. I finished it. And while I didn’t love how it felt in the moment, I walked away proud that I moved through the resistance.
Because that’s what training confidence looks like — not waiting to feel ready, but acting anyway.
