My East Sandpainting: A Glimpse Into My Shamanic Path
I want to pull back the curtain a bit today.
You already see the coach in me…the woman who helps you stop explaining yourself, set boundaries without guilt, and finally listen to the voice you’ve been quieting for years.
But there’s another part of me that guides everything I do: the part of me that walks the Shamanic path.
Today I created my East Sandpainting, and I felt called to share a little of it with you...not to teach you how to do it, but to show you one of the ways I stay rooted in my own journey.
I placed the four directions, brought in the Kuyhas (healing stones), added other stones and crystals, feathers, flowers, and elements that hold meaning for me. Each direction held a message. Each object carried a purpose. It became a living mirror for what I’m stepping into right now.
The South reminded me to release old layers I no longer need.
The West showed me what strength looks like when it’s quiet and unshakeable.
The North softened me back into faith and inner guidance.
The East called me to rise, shine, and stop dimming myself out of habit.
And in the center, I placed Labradorite — the Shaman’s stone — because this work asks me to track energy with my whole being, not just my mind.
I also pulled a card for each direction, and every single one affirmed the same message: You’re stepping into a bigger light. Keep going.
This Sandpainting isn’t something I “do” for content. It's how I stay connected to my own medicine. It's how I remember who I am while I help you remember who you are.
If one part of this calls to you — a symbol, a direction, a feeling — which one is it?
(And if you’d like me to share more of these glimpses into my Shamanic practices from time to time, just say so.)
