Every country across the world has a unique way of exchange greetings among themselves especially with people they are familiar to. We are going to talk about how Nigerians create that lively exchange of greetings.
Here are some basics:
*How are you? Translated as
“How you Dey” or “How body?” in Naija Pidgin
*I Dey fine! Translated as
“I’m fine” or “I bam” or “I gallant” 💪 in Naija Pidgin
*Where are you going? Translated in Naija pidgin as “Where you Dey go?” Or “Wetin be your GPS”
*Have you eaten”? Translated in Naija Pidgin as
“You don chop” or “you don lemm”
