๐ Hebrews 12:11 Devotional ๐โจ
โNo discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful.
Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.โ
๐ฑ The Pain That Produces Peace
Discipline doesnโt feel good while itโs happening.
Correction can sting.
Growth can stretch.
Healing can ache.
But Godโs discipline is not punishment โ
๐ it is preparation.
โณ The Part We Struggle With: โLaterโ
In the moment โ it feels painful
In the process โ it feels unfair
But this verse reminds us:
โก๏ธ Discipline now
โก๏ธ Peace later
โก๏ธ Training now
โก๏ธ Righteousness later
God is producing something deeper than comfort.
He is producing:
โจ Character
โจ Alignment
โจ Inner Peace
๐พ There Is a Harvest Coming
Not immediatelyโฆ
But eventually.
If you allow yourself to be trained โ not just corrected โ
God promises:
โ๏ธ Righteousness
โ๏ธ Peace
What hurts today may be growing what heals tomorrow.
๐ฌ Reflection
What if this hard season isnโt here to break youโฆ
but to train you?
๐ Prayer
God, help me trust Your discipline even when it hurts.
Train my heart so that todayโs pain produces tomorrowโs peace.
Amen.
