Just post.
Hey everyone,
I just wanted to talk about my experience with posting consistently on TikTok and Instagram.
I've been able to slowly start growing by simply posting three times a day every day. Only two of my videos so far peaked at 3k+ views and garnered a bunch of engagement. Every other video sits around 200-300 views and minimal engagement.
This goes to show that, going viral, or even having a video do better than average, is not sustainable and shouldn't be your goal. Your goal should be to show up everyday and get your reps in. You WILL grow, even if only one follower at a time. Imagine you gain 1 follower every time you post on average. That's 3 followers a day. Over a year, that's 1k+ followers, which to many of us seems like a tall task. Not to mention that every time you post, you are essentially entering the lottery. You never know how a video might or might not do until after the fact. The two videos I posted that popped off were extremely low effort, and randomly got pushed to thousands of people. So by entering the lottery three times a day over 365 days, your chances of hitting it big a few times are pretty decent don't you think?
The outcome is quite simple. You either gain 1k+ followers in a year, or you hit it big a couple of times, and grow even more than that. And this is purely off of posting. When you start bringing in budget and Meta Ads, your chances at growing even more significantly increase as we have witnessed through our current success stories.
All this just to say, post post post! Don't overthink it. Just post. I spend 20 mins looking at my phone thinking of what hook to use or what caption and hashtags to use, when in reality it doesn't matter as much as actually posting does. We get hung up on what kind of content to make, or what kind of stuff to say in our videos, and I think that comes from the idea of feeling like our content needs to hit a certain benchmark every time. It doesn't. It just needs to be put out there consistently, and the snowball will begin to roll slowly but surely.
Thanks for reading!
