Here's how I got my first weekly GIG

So I manifested my weekly gig slot on Thursday nights in my local cafe.

I was out and about playing music on the street every night and posting on IG. So I had some evidence I was going for it as a musician and people were dancing and having fun with me. One day my neighbour and I were chatting and she had a daughter around my age and she was so hyped that her daughter published her first book. I was pumped for her and knew I'd want to support an artist that was doing it so I went on Amazon and bought the book.

When the book arrived I took a selfy and tagged her daughter just hyping her up. So then the dm I got in return from the daughter was the invite to play the weekly slot at the cafe. Turned out she was the SMMA for that company and was looking to add live entertainment. So I did that cafe gig every week for like a year until I moved towns but it opened so many doors and more concerts with other local artists just from being more visible.
