What type of love is Jesus talk about in the scripture below?
“I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34–35)
Love is patient, love is kind, love is not jealous, it does not boast, it does not become conceited, 5 it does not behave dishonorably, it ⌊is not selfish⌋, it does not become angry, it does not keep a record of wrongs, 6 it does not rejoice at unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth, 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:4–7)
Agape love, in its purest form, is a selfless, unconditional, and sacrificial love, often associated with the love of God for humanity and the love of humans for God. It is a love that seeks the well-being of others, regardless of their worthiness or response, and is characterized by intentionality, sacrifice, and a focus on the good of the other person.
Last Sundays message was about being ALL-IN. To be all-in we need to have the same unconditional and sacrificial love that God has for us!
Thought: What conditions have you set that may be keeping you from loving others with Agape love?
Pray y’all have a Blessed day!!!
