Yay! No way...
Story time!
I have definitely learned so much in my day trading journey.
First, I want to point out and hopefully get feedback about this. So, when using Tradivate to trade multiple accounts with one click, also known as copy trading, also known as group trading within tradivate, It appears that you cannot use stop loss and profit limits. Those features can only be set when trading one account individually. So I've been trying to monitor my trades because I'm trading three accounts at once.
Also worth noting, although trading on a mobile device is rather simple with Tradivate, you cannot trade a group of accounts on mobile. You can only trade one account on mobile. Trading groups or copy trading must be done on a computer.
I learned that by trading one account for nearly a week thinking I was trading a group of 3. I was actually down about $600 in that one account when I discovered this.
With all that said, yesterday I passed two of my evaluation accounts and I received my funded performance accounts this morning.
I have been so excited since yesterday about this and I sat down to start trading on my funded accounts. I immediately got distracted by life stuff. I was really confident on the chart, so I set a trade and I walked away for 8 minutes. Because I was trading on a group on Tradivate, I had no stop loss. In those 8 minutes, the market switched directions and tanked.
I lost my entire group of accounts that I was trading on, including my two funded accounts that I just got this morning.
Guys, I literally lost two funded accounts on the first trade that I placed with them because I got distracted, had to walk away, and decided it would be okay to leave an open trade on the computer screen.
I was bummed, I was upset, I was discouraged...
But you know what. I am good at this. I'm going to get there again and I'm not going to walk away this time.
LESSON LEARNED!
Yes, it was it a $300 mistake of my money, not
leveraged money, but I can get that back. I'm going to get that back because I know that I can do this.
This is not an easy journey. It's not simple. It takes a certain mindset. It takes the overcoming of emotions and it takes a lot of learning, failing, recovering, and trying again.
Let's all make mistakes together and learn from each other
Go get em guys!
