It’s a Journey
Just some thoughts and experiences in case it helps anybody else in the early stages of trading and the EA process. It’s a journey for sure.. use the process to grow and learn. Just some notes on my progress from the last 7 months…
When I first started with my EA I was trying to find any way to jump into a trade, then when I got in just hoped it’d work out. I rationalized nearly any trade and then felt anxious when the trade was triggered. I felt like I needed to get through the EA quick so I could start rolling in the Benjamins 🙃
That was then, but my mindset and habits have changed… Now I make a strict plan and follow it. Based on the plan and how busy I am with my job, I may take 0 trades in an entire week and then there was also a day that I took 3 trades. The activity fluctuates, and that’s ok. I don’t try to force anything, but just follow the plan when the opportunity arises. I haven’t passed an EA yet, but feel confident that I will. And I know that it will only take 1 payout in the future to offset my investment. That’s worth being patient for and doing the right way. I will say, I was a little salty the last couple EA’s ($50k Tradovate accounts) because I failed with my account still over $50k. My account peaks in those were $52,600 and $52,800…. Heartbreaking losses for sure but I still learned from each of them!
