Claim 1: A course for teaching patent drafting and patent-related procedures, the course comprising:
presenting instructional content directed to prose-based patent drafting, including claim drafting, specification drafting, and terminology selection;
presenting instructional content directed to patent-related procedures, including application structure, filing components, and document formatting;
providing examples illustrating conversion of informal invention descriptions into formal patent prose;
providing exercises requiring a student to draft at least one independent claim and at least one dependent claim;
and providing feedback to the student regarding clarity, structure, and procedural compliance of the drafted claims.
Claim 2: The course of claim 1, wherein presenting instructional content comprises providing video lessons, written materials, and example documents.
