Trying something new
Hey Yall Im Ophelia...founder of Rubie’s Legacy Care. This is my first time using this platform, so thank you for being here as I figure it out and build this space with you. 💜
One thing I’ve noticed is that there aren’t many spaces for us—Program Directors, Activity Directors, Recreational Therapists, and caregivers—to come together. Too often, our work is misunderstood: people assume it’s “easy,” “not real work,” or “not enough.” But we know the truth—it takes creativity, leadership, compassion, and resilience.
This community is for those of us who are in the trenches and in leadership: whether you’re running your own business, working in a facility, part of a corporation, or serving in any other sector of this field. I’ve worked across many areas of this space, and I want to be intentional about creating a community that supports our wellness, not just the wellness of those we serve.
So, here’s to connection, encouragement, and building something impactful together. Let’s see how this goes! 🌱
