The Current of Becoming
I call upon the spark of fire
I call upon the heart made wise
I call upon the crossing over
Page of wands dances through the dark
each flame a message yet unnamed
each one a dream that will not sleep
each one a promise buried deep
that longs to rise, that longs to rise
I am the ember
I am the urge
I am the voice before the surge
The young flame whispers in my chest
telling me there is more ahead
more to say and more to seek
more truth alive in what I speak
more life than fear has let me hold
I reach, I reach, I reach for more
Through restless heart and spirit's door
Adventure blooms in sacred heat
The fire and soul at last now meet
King of cups holds steady light
over the waters of my soul
one hand calm and one heart true
teaching me what love can do
when feeling does not have to drown
I am the vessel
I am the tide
I am the strength that does not hide
His wisdom settles every wave
turning chaos into prayer
the sea within me learns to rest
against the shelter of his chest
where mercy speaks in quiet tones
Calm, calm, calm returns to me
Like moonlight cast upon the sea
My deeper knowing has been there
Waiting in the salt-washed air
Six swords carry me from the storm
across the waters of release
each blade a sorrow left behind
each one a thought I now unwind
as distance opens into peace
I choose the crossing
I choose the shore
I choose what I am healing for
The boat that once was made of grief
now bears me toward a gentler dawn
from spark to heart, from wave to way
from what I was to who I'll be
from troubled night to sacred sea
I am becoming, I am becoming
What survives the spirit's summoning
I am the flame that learns to flow
I am the peace I come to know
The ritual of passage
has begun.
The waters part.
I follow the sun.
