1) Mini Dialogue (English â Portuguese)
You: Hi, excuse me. Can you help me?
Person: Sure. What do you need?
You: Where is the nearest subway station?
Person: Itâs two blocks away.
You: Sorryâtwo blocks?
Person: Yes. Go straight and turn left at the corner.
You: Okay. Is it far?
Person: No, itâs not far. About a 5-minute walk.
You: Great, thank you so much.
Person: No problem!
Portuguese (natural translation):
VocĂȘ: Oi, com licença. VocĂȘ pode me ajudar?
Pessoa: Claro. O que vocĂȘ precisa?
VocĂȘ: Onde fica a estação de metrĂŽ mais prĂłxima?
Pessoa: Fica a dois quarteirÔes daqui.
VocĂȘ: Desculpa â dois quarteirĂ”es?
Pessoa: Sim. VĂĄ reto e vire Ă esquerda na esquina.
VocĂȘ: TĂĄ bom. Ă longe?

- Go straight = VĂĄ reto
- Turn left / right = Vire Ă esquerda / direita
- at the corner = na esquina
- Is it far? = Ă longe?
- About a 5-minute walk = Uns 5 minutos andando
- No problem = De nada / Sem problema
