The 10-Minute "Mission Possible" — Not "Impossible"
Your mission if you wish to accept it...
This isn't "Mission Impossible", this is "Mission Possible"!
Here is a quick project for anyone interested, it should only take 10 to 15 minutes..
Step 1 — Look at the System
(Include a simple sketch of a pendulum on a movable base — doesn’t need to be perfect)
Prompt: You’re looking at a simple swinging mass on a base that can move.
Take 30 seconds. Just look at it.
Step 2 — What Moves?
Fill in:
  • The main motion is: __________________________
  • The base can: ________________________________
  • Something pushes or reacts because: ___________
(Keep lines short so it feels easy to complete)
Step 3 — Change One Thing
Prompt: Pick ONE thing to change.
☐ Angle of the pivot ☐ Weight of the mass ☐ Length of the arm ☐ Timing of the swing ☐ Add a magnet ☐ Something else: ___________________
Step 4 — Your “What If?”
Complete this sentence:
👉 What would happen if I changed:
Step 5 — Make a Call (this is the key)
What do YOU think will happen?
👉 I think the system will: (1–2 sentences is fine)
Step 6 — Why? (keep it simple)
👉 Because:
Step 7 — Optional (but powerful)
How would you test this?
👉 I would try:
You don’t need to be right.
You just need to think it through and put it on the table.
Post your answers in the thread:
  • Your “What If”
  • Your prediction
  • Your reasoning
I’ll respond and help you refine it.
