Don't Practice Harder
Don’t practice harder; practice slower. If you’re finding it difficult to understand, slow down the backing track to as slow as you need it to hear and feel the changes. We are training our bodies to react to the changes we sense and feel. While you’re in improv kindergarten, still in improv school, and still a student of music, slow down your accompaniment until you can play along with ease and understanding.
